Viraj H2:

Aviation must undergo a deep transformation to decarbonize, and hydrogen is a key vector in this process. However, current solutions do not yet align with the specific constraints of the aerospace sector.
Through Viraj H2, we are developing a hydrogen propulsion system based on the hybridization of two existing technologies—fuel cells and turbomachinery—and on leveraging the full potential of this hybridization.
These two technologies offer significant synergetic potential: by capturing the water produced by the fuel cell and reinjecting it into the turbomachine, we achieve substantial improvements in weight, efficiency, and environmental emissions.
The ambition of our startup, Viraj H2, is therefore to unlock technological leverage for decarbonizing air transport by developing and offering this propulsion architecture to the aircraft of tomorrow.
